Always Submit the Rebate!
A $2 mail-in rebate..is it worth the time and effort to send it in? YES it is! Gather them all up. If you are purchasing that product, no matter the cost and it comes with a rebate fill out the forms and send it in. Then be on the eagle eye for their return. They often show up as non-descript postcards that often look like junk mail.
This is my husband’s and my little college fund savings tip. It is spent money, gone from your wallet. So don’t put it back their where it does little good as a $2 prize. We put it into our daughters college fund savings account. When that reaches about $6-700 we transfer $500 into her Education IRA. We easily and painlessly add $500/year. It comes from ink for our printers, to a new printer, new phone, can of nuts and so on… I realize this is a departure from my no-coupon cutting advise so feel free to disregard..but I wouldn’t.
