Laura’s Cheap Trick #30

A Stitch in Time.

What comes to mind is a plaque on my grandmothers wall I used to see every time I would visit her.  “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine.” She had quite a collection of ‘Franklinesque’ type sayings on her walls.  I viewed them for years till I asked my Oma about the plaques one day.  And this was one that stood out.  Maybe it was because of my oft repressed nature that loathes sewing…I would never want to make even one stitch.  But I can’t rebuff the overall sentiment that encourages dealing with the problem when it is small and easier to handle not when it is so big it becomes unrepairable.

So whether it is with a needle in hand, or an apology on my lips I do try to make amends when the mess is small.
