Laura’s Cheap Trick #59

The Great Halloween Candy Consumption.

In the US Halloween is that marvelous opportunity for children to dress up and wander the streets in the dark up to strand homes and ask for sweet treats.  In other words us parents break every rule we have ever set before our children and send them up to a strangers house to talk with them and eat their food…

But it is also a time that reminds us that evil does not prevail in our world.  That people are good and have the best intentions for others.  We all love to laugh and be entertained and truly enjoy the visit from the children even if it is only for a piece of candy.

So now to the Cheap Trick.  I learned this from some neighbors…collect all the Halloween candy and save it in the freezer then dole it out when going to a movie for a special treat through out the year.

Also don’t hesitate to use Halloween as a learning opportunity…Here is the graphing we do to compare colors, brands…I don’t call it that of course.
