About

Laura’s Cheap Tricks are all about sharing quick and simple life-style changes to save money.  My goal is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).  I want to avoid coupon cutting and going out of my way to cut costs but still maintain quality of life.

Laura is a Girl Scout and mom entrepreneur who owns a successful television production company in the greater Washington DC area.  As the daughter of a couple of WW2/victory garden parents she is a free – associative thinker and often explores new and more efficient ways to accomplish tasks and save money.  “I come by it naturally.”

Special thanks to my various family members who offer inspiration for this little outlet.  Mom and Dad, my two sisters and my two cousins Claire and Sarah D who posed the question..how can I save money without being a coupon clipper.

  1. Thanks for reposting my story 🙂 Have been going through your blog and I love it. I’m all for shortcuts – why do people keep wanting to reinvent the wheel? If you can get from A to B in the shortest and most effective way possible, then you have plenty of time (and hopefully more money) to do everything else you want!

  2. Thanks…I am also new to this blogging thing..and so far enjoying it. I saw your post on the berries and thought how perfect! And I love well cooked food. I LOVE your garden..and am very envious!
